What materials do you use?
Mike & Allen uses high-quality full-grain cow leather for our uppers and leather soles for the loafer. The sole for our driving loafer is a specialized rubber sole designed exclusively for us and by us with the intention for you to get considerably more wear than a traditional pebble sole driving loafer.
What size do I need?
Our loafers and drivers tend to run TTS-true to size compared to most of our American dress shoe counterparts. They tend to run a bit smaller then sneakers and we recommend ordering one full size down from your sneaker size for loafers and a half size for drivers. Leather will definitely stretch a bit especially our driver which is typical for any leather shoe. We recommend ordering them as tight as you can comfortably fit. They’re meant to be worn sockless if desired and we want to make sure you can do that! Our shoes our a D width which is normal. Those with wider feet (E or EE) can consider going up half a size. Ladies, your size would be 2 sizes down from your typical US size
How much?
$200 we strive to do everything possible to deliver you the highest quality product at the most affordable price. We do this by working direct to consumer and cutting out the middleman. We work directly with our tanneries and factory and pledge to always offer you the best value for your money.
Will you make more products in the future?
Yes, albeit slowly! We are a small company with big dreams. That being said our main goal is for everything we offer to be timeless. When you aren’t worried about short-term trends it gives you the luxury of patience to craft a superior product because you’re not worried about rushing a shoe into the marketplace to meet a current trend. Classic staples of style will live for an eternity. We have more offerings in the future but we will continue to work tirelessly until they are perfected at the highest quality of standards for our customers. We’ll make more tweaks if needed to current models and do different color offerings as we receive feedback from you!

Orders, shipping and returns

Where is my order?

Our orders typically ship out of Indianapolis within 1-2 business days. For orders within the USA you should expect to receive your order 2-5 days later. We offer free domestic shipping on all of our orders over $200.

We offer international shipping for an additional price which is to be calculated at checkout dependent on location. All international orders are shipped (DDU) delivery duties unpaid. Customs, duties, and any importation taxes or surcharges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the item price or shipping cost. Unfortunately these fees are outside of our control and we can’t calculate them prior to your order. All applicable fees will be collected by the carrier upon delivery. If duties and/or taxes are not paid for by the customer and there is a refusal upon delivery, we are unfortunately unable to refund the customer for their order.

I have a delivery problem/damaged products
In the unlikely event you have a delivery issue or damaged product email us at support@mikeandallen.com and we will work to resolve any issue as quickly as possible.
What is your return policy

We aim to ensure our customers' full satisfaction. If you aren't completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return your item(s) for store credit ONLY. Please use this link to start your exchange process: https://shopify.com/81114530073/account - Returns must be initiated within 14 business days of delivery. - The returned item(s) must be unworn and complete with tags, etc. Please check the bottoms of your shoes before initiating an exchange. If the bottoms of the shoes appear worn or have scratches they will not be accepted for an exchange. - Once your return is delivered, please allow 7-10 business days for your return to be processed. Once item(s) are received and inspected, upon the pass of inspection, store credit will be issued for returned items. You will receive an email confirmation once your return has been processed. - We are not responsible for risk of loss or damages during the return shipment. If returns are received worn or incomplete they will not be shipped back or credited. Do you send products internationally?

Product care

How often should I wash my Loafers?
The frequency that you should clean your loafers depends on a few different variables that include but are not limited to how often you’re wearing them, the material, and where you’re wearing them. Ex: Suede will require a bit more upkeep than leather
How long should my Loafers last?

This is dependent on many variables such as how often you plan on wearing them, proper shoe care, storage, etc. Finding a suitable protectant and conditioner with proper cleaning and storage is of the utmost importance which is why we offer the finest products here at Mike & Allen to help you care for your footwear.

We offer and highly recommend a shoe tree to protect and maintain the shape of your loafer and absorb any excess moisture that could damage the integrity of the shoes interior. Our loafer is made from blake-stitched construction with a leather sole and will be able to be resoled at a local cobbler. If you take care of your loafer with the proper products, care, and storage you should be able to have this loafer for many years to come.

Driving loafers on the other hand are unfortunately unable to be resoled. That being said Mike & Allen uses a special sole we specifically designed that is exclusive to our brand and offers more tread and use than a classic pebble soled driving loafer. We did this with the intention of giving you the ability to get more wear and value for your money out of your driver. Lifespan will depend on a variety of factors including shoe care, conditioning/protection, storage, frequency of use, and the environment you’re wearing them. With proper care and maintenance we believe you will get a more than satisfactory amount of use from your driving loafer.

My products need repairing; can you help?
Unfortunately at Mike & Allen we do not offer shoe cobbling services as that is an art form of its own and we highly recommend seeing a local professional in your area for such services. Despite proper care and maintenance there may become a time where your loafers or drivers are scuffed, faded, or deteriorated beyond repair. If this is the case then it is time to treat yourself to a new pair of Mike & Allens! We promise you wont regret it and will have luxury loafers you wont have to worry about replacing any time soon
